10.1.4. - A channel can be set up by sending a message with a string of
commands, these must always be in the following order: -
10.1.4.1. - secret, channel, channel number, configuration code,
name, RF code
10.1.5. - If the sensor is wired the RF code can just be omitted, in this case
the name is also optional. However if a sensor is wireless it must have its
RF code entered (the wireless sensors are supplied with an RF code printed
on the box, on the back of the unit and inside the unit). Likewise when a RF
code is input the channel must also be set to a Normally Closed (NC)
configuration and must be named, if the name is omitted it will register
the RF code as the name and consequently not register the RF code.
10.1.6. - Detailed below are several examples of channel configurations.
10.1.7. - In the example shown below a Wired Magnetic Contact has been
wired to channel 7, the channel is being configured to a Alarm Normally
Closed (NC) configuration and will be called ‘Front Hatch’ ~ No RF Code is
required.
10.1.7.1. -
Secret, channel, 7, 4, Front Hatch
10.1.8. - In the example shown below a Shore Power Sensor has been
wired to channel 12, the channel is being configured to a Monitor Change
State (CH) configuration (it will alert when shore power is turned off and
also when it is turned on), it will be called ‘Shore’.
10.1.8.1. -
Secret, channel, 12, 12, Shore
10.1.9. - In the example shown below a Wireless Smoke Detector has been
fitted, wireless channel 15 is being configured to a Tamper Normally
Closed (NC) configuration (using Tamper will set it to be always on as well
as the siren and strobe alerting), it will be called ‘Smoke’ and its RF code is
512985.
10.1.9.1. -
Secret, channel, 15, 1, Smoke, 512985
