8. - Commissioning
8.1. - Channel Alignment Test Mode
8.1.1 - To allow checking that sensors are installed correctly (e.g. a Beam
Break is aligned with its Retroflector or a Magnetic Contact is within its
proximity requirement) a channel test mode can be set. When the channel
is in test mode the internal and external beepers of the control box will
sound when the sensor is
not aligned or OPEN , in turn the beepers fall
silent when the sensor is aligned.
NB this mode is cannot be used on wireless sensors/channels.
8.1.2. - To set the relevant channel into test mode send the following
message. In the example shown the sensor is connected to channel 10: -
8.1.2.1. - Secret, test, 10
8.1.3.
– To turn the channel test mode off send the following message: -
8.1.3.1. - Secret, test, off
8.2. - Test Siren/Beeper/Strobe
8.2.1 - To test the functioning of any Output device the Channel can be
configured to configuration number 21 -RF Switch (in this configuration the
key Fob can be used to switch the device on (for test) and then off again.
See Advanced Set up to configure the channel. The channel must be then
reconfigured back to its correct operating configuration.
