5.12. - Shore Power Sensor
5.12.1 - The Shore Power Sensor is a mains power sensor which triggers if
the shore power is lost or disconnected.
5.12.2. - The Shore Power Sensor uses a relay with a 240v coil to detect a
break in the presence of the mains supply. It operates by signalling when
the power is lost for greater than 30 seconds. The Shore Power can be
wired Normally Open NO or Normally Closed NC, Normally Open is
recommended. See Advanced Set Up for Configuration Instructions.
Warnings
As the Shore Power Sensor will be wired into 240V AC supply
installation should only be carried out by a Competent Electrician
Ensure the 240V AC supply is isolated, locked off and made safe
prior to any work.
Ensure that when installation is complete all 240V terminations are
correctly covered/guarded and not accessible without the isolation of
240V supply.
Contact with 240V AC may result in serious injury or loss of life.
5.12.3. -
It is recommended that the Shore Power Sensor is connected
after the RCD, in this way a loss of mains supply (including the RCD tripping
out) will be detected.
Ensure that when installation is complete all 240V
terminations are correctly covered/guarded and not accessible without the
isolation of 240V supply
5.12.4. - The Shore Power Sensor Base should be securely mounted in an
existing ‘mains safe’ enclosure (such as in side of the consumer unit if
sufficient space is available) or in a separate suitable ‘mains safe’ enclosure
( suitably labelled to indicate 240v is present inside). The signalling cable
should be securely routed to the control unit.
