STEP
ACTIVATE:
Allows
external
command
activation
on
either
Channel
1
or
Channel
2
independently.
BLANK
ACTIVATE:
Allows
the
Channel
1
voltage
to
be
held
at
its
previous
value.
Useful
when
response
to
external
stimulus
needs
to
be
blanked.
AUXILIARY
1
HEADSTAGE
and
AUXILIARY
2
HEADSTAGE:
The
optional
voltage
‐
following
(HS
‐
9A)
or
bath
clamp
(VG
‐
9A)
headstage
is
plugged
into
these
connectors.
HS
‐
2A
and
VG
‐
2A
headstages
can
also
be
plugged
into
these
connectors
with
an
appropriate
optional
adapter
cable
(1
‐
2100
‐
0934).

OUTPUT
and
10
AUX2
OUTPUT:
These
BNC
outputs
provide
×10
output
signal
for
the
respective
AUXILIARY
HEADSTAGE
channels.
REMOTE:
Most
commonly
used
for
connecting
the
remote
BUZZ
box.
Can
also
be
used
for
control
of
CLEAR
(±)
and
STEP
ACTIVATE
on
either
channel
and
for
BLANK
ACTIVATE
on
Channel
1.
MONITOR:
The
same
signal
as
on
the
SCOPE
USB.
Used
for
tuning
discontinuous
modes:
DCC
and
dSEVC.
SIGNAL
GROUND:
While
the
1
mm
gold
ground
socket
on
the
headstage
should
be
used
for
the
bath
ground,
this
4
mm
yellow
socket
can
be
connected
to
a
central
grounding
bus
and
used
to
ground
other
sources
of
noise
in
your
setup,
such
as
the
Faraday
cage,
perfusion
system,
etc.
CHASSIS
GROUND:
This
provides
an
alternative
chassis
or
power
supply
ground.
SAMPLE
CLOCK:
Used
to
trigger
an
external
monitor
scope
if
the
SCOPE
USB
input
to
the
computer
is
not
used.
