Workstation 4 and 4 LX Field Service Guide

Remove and Replace the WS4 and WS4 LX FRUs
Remove and Replace the Touchscreen

4. Place the new touchscreen glass in front of the LCD Panel, oriented as shown in

Figure 6-26. The top sheet or touch sensitive surface of the glass should face the
user with the cable oriented as shown.

5. Install the LCD Bracket assembly with Touchscreen. Holding the assembly as

shown in Figure 6-27, slide the bracket under the clips in the top cover and lower
it into place. Make sure top and bottom holes align.

6. Before fastening the LCD bracket in place, flip the assembly over and make sure

the gasket is seated and touchscreen aligned properly.

7. Fasten the LCD bracket to the top cover with four screws.

8. Place the MSR assembly in the cover with the cable oriented as shown Figure

6-28, and attach the brackets and screws to the body of the reader.

9. Install the MSR spill tray and fasten with four screws.

10. See page 6-26 to reinstall the top cover.
