Remove and Replace the WS4 and WS4 LX FRUs

Remove and Replace the Touchscreen

Remove and Replace the Touchscreen

This procedure describes how to remove and replace the touchscreen glass and applies 
to the Workstation 4 and Workstation 4 LX. 

See page 6-4 to remove the Top Cover.

See page 6-8 to remove the RF Shield.

1.

Remove the four screws that hold the MSR spill cover in place. Remove the 
reader and bracket assembly and set aside.

2.

Refer to Figure 6-25 and remove the four screws that fasten the LCD Bracket 
assembly to the top cover. Remove the LCD Bracket assembly by tilting the 
bracket up until it releases.

3.

Carefully remove any broken glass from the top cover. Inspect the touchscreen 
gasket, clean and reinstall.
