8. Install the bearing carrier into the gear housing backwards to hold the propeller shaft

and the pinion nut adaptor in position.

9. Torque the pinion nut to 75 lb. ft. (102 Nm) by turning the drive shaft using the drive

shaft nut wrench and torque wrench.
