Remove the dryer front bulkhead
(See page 4-62).
Remove dryer belt (See page 4-67).
Grasp the drum and pull it out of cabinet.
nOTe: To avoid damage to components
in the cabinet, if the loosened belt was not
previously removed, do not allow the belt
to grab onto components in the base of the
dryer.
nOTe: The front and rear drum seals are
made of a felt material. They are glued in
place. Watch for pins or other user items,
stuck in the felt, when removing the drum.

reMOve Dryer DruM
Install dryer drum with the drum clip, plug or
hole closer to the rear bulkhead of the dryer.
This is opposite the orientation of the drum
in the dryer that matches a top load washer.
This orientation will allow for quieter
operation because the drum supports roll in
this direction without a thump, as they roll
from the higher side to the lower side of the
welded seam of the drum.
To remove a drum clip or plug, use a
flat blade screwdriver to lift an edge and
remove it from drum.
