DIGITAL DISPLAY
Touching the current selection of the Digital Display shows selectable options at the bottom of the screen (Figure
3.7) to show or hide the digital display on the Record view.
Auto hide:
Digital display is automatically hidden in 30 seconds after it appears on the screen. Touch the
area of the display to call it up.
Continuous:
Digital display remains on the screen.
This option can be changed while recording.

START MODE
Touching the current selection of the Start Mode shows selectable options at the bottom of the screen (Figure 3.8).
Cold Start:
At a restart, the 7xET stands by showing the initial view.
Hot Start:
At a restart, the 7xET automatically starts recording.

TEMPERATURE UNIT
Touching the current selection of the Temperature Unit shows selectable options at the bottom of the screen (Figure
3.9).

3.10 DATA STORING FORM
Touching the current selection of the Data Storing Form shows selectable options at the bottom of the screen (Figure
3.10).
Floating point 1 data size: 4 bytes
Decimal fraction: max. 4 decimal places (effective number of digits: 6 or 7)
Short integer 1 data size: 2 bytes
Decimal fraction: max. 1 decimal place

Float (floating point) is to be selected when you need to store data including decimal fractions. The 4-byte-long data
is better in data precision but the total storable time in the CF Card becomes shorter compared from Short Int.
Short int (short integer) is integer data multiplied by 10. The 2-byte-long data is not as precise (one decimal place)
as Float type is, but the total storable time in the CF Card is longer.
For models R1M-P4 or R1M-A1C1 with totalized pulse input, choose Float.
