7.1.3
SETTING UP THE 7xET SPECIFICALLY FOR R5 SERIES
For general setting procedures other than mentioned below, refer to Section 3.
STORING RATE
The R5 Series may not be able to read in 0.5 sec. storing rate completely in any condition. 1 sec. or slower rates are
recommended.
NODE SETTING
Choose R5-NM11 for Data Allocation Mode 1, R5-NM12 for Data Allocation Mode 2.
Hardware setting (R5-NM1) and software setting (7xET) must be compatible in order for the 7xET to read R5 module
data.

PEN SETTING
Node Number & Channel Number
Since the R5 I/O modules can mix input types and numbers, Channel Number does not mean the module’s physical
position (slot number) on the base. Refer to Table 7.1.3a.
Channels 1 through 128 (range in bold line) are available for R5-DCxx Discrete Output Module.
Table 7.1.3a: R5 channel assignments.
Input Type
Specify ‘0 to 100 percent’ for voltage input, or type of temperature sensor for thermocouple/RTD input.
Discrete setting is the same as for the R1M.
