• Dual Communication: SW3-1
When two network modules are mounted, one must
be ‘Main’ (OFF) network and the other must be ‘Sub’
(ON) network. For single communication, the network
module must always be set to ‘Main’ (OFF).
• Input Error Data: SW3-2
Hold: When the communication from an input module
is lost due to the input module error, the network mod-
ule holds the signal and stands by until the communi-
cation recovers.
Set to ‘0’: When the communication from an input
module is lost due to the input module error, the net-
work module outputs ‘0.’
• LED Function: SW3-4
Functions assigned to the front RUN and ERR LEDs
can be selected.

CONNECTING TO THE 7xET
SYSTEM CONFIGURATION
As shown in Figure 7.2.2a, the R2K-1 is connected to 7xET’s COM port via a straight RS-232C cable in order to
convert RS-232C into RS-485. R3-NM1 and other modules, up to 15 in total, can be connected via RS-485 twisted-
pair cables.

MODBUS WIRE CONNECTION
Modbus wires are connected to the front terminal block as shown in Figure 7.2.2b.
