For discrete inputs, assign 16 channels when 1 data area is assigned. For 4 or 8 data areas, 64 channels are
automatically assigned. Module 9 and later modules’ settings are identical to Module 8 setting.

CAUTION !
For use of Discrete Output Modules (model: R3-DCxx) with the 74ET and 75ET, there are limitations in their mount-
ing positions with the 10-position (model: R3-BS10), 12-position (model: R3-BS12), 14-position (model: R3-BS14)
and the 16-position (R3-BS16) bases.
With the data allocation mode 1, the R3-DCxx must be positioned between Module 1 through 8. DO NOT use
Module 9 and later modules’ for the R3-DCxx.
With the data allocation mode 4, 8 and 16, the R3-DCxx must be positioned at Module 1 and/or 2.
CAUTION !
For Trigger recording, Channel 1 of each R3 nodes is automatically used as trigger input. Install an discrete input
module at Module 1 position and set the trigger input channel to 1.
Input Type
Specify ‘0 to 100 percent’ for voltage input, or type of temperature sensor for thermocouple/RTD input.
Discrete setting is the same as for the R1M.
