Examine the cowling, engine and
its compartment for evidence of
fluid leaks, residue, or
discoloration.

Identify and correct the
cause of any leak,
residue, or
discoloration.

Examine all oil hoses for leaks,
wear, and secure attachment. Make
sure that the oil hoses are secure
and not vibrating. Make sure that
there are no sharp bends in the oil
hose routing and that the oil hoses
are not near heat sources that could
damage the oil hose.

Identify and correct the
cause of any leak.
Refer to the “Oil Hose
Inspection” procedure in
Chapter 72-50.

Examine all fuel hoses for leaks,
wear, and secure attachment. Make
sure that all fuel hoses have
cushioned clamps securely attached
to hold the fuel hoses securely in
place to prevent excessive vibration.
Make sure that there are no sharp
bends in the fuel hose routing and
that the fuel hoses are not near heat
sources that could damage the fuel
hose.

Identify and correct the
cause of any leak.
Refer to the “Fuel Hose
Inspection” procedure in
Chapter 73-10.
