73-20 ENGINE FUEL AND CONTROL - CONTROLLING

(Electronic) Throttle Body Replacement
NOTICE
: A damaged or malfunctioning throttle body cannot be repaired. It must be replaced.
A.
(Electronic) Throttle Body Removal
(1)
Disconnect the battery.
(2)
Remove the harness connections from the Throttle Position Sensor (Figure 1) and Delta
Pressure Sensor.
(3)
Remove the throttle cable from throttle input lever.
(4)
Remove the two bolts, washers, and lock washers, from the top aft end of the throttle
body. Refer to Figure 1. Discard the lock washers.

Loosen the two bolts, washers, and lock washers, from the top forward end (closest to the
engine) of the throttle body. Refer to Figure 1. Discard the lock washers.
(6)
Loosen the two bolts, thick washers, and lock washers, from the bottom aft end of the
throttle body. Refer to Figure 1.
