, Issue 1
Release 11.0.0
[SSM TX]
Default:
QL_DNU
Range: N/A
Format: Predefined
Displays the contents of the SSM bits transmitted by all the
OCn/STMn module ports. The port which is active for the
purpose of stratum line timing transmits QL-DNU. All of the
other OCn/STMn modules transmit the SSM bits shown in
this field.
QL-DNU
Indicates the signal carrying this SSM shall not be used for
synchronization because a timing loop situation could result
if it is used.
GL-INV
n
Indicates an unallocated SSM value is received where n=0,
1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 12, 13, or 14.
GL-PRC
Indicates the source of the trail is a PRC clock as defined in
Recommendation ITU-T G.811.
GL-SEC
Indicates the source of the trail is a SEC clock as defined in
Recommendation ITU-T G.813, Option I.
GL-SSUL
Indicates the source of the trail is a Type VI SSU clock as
defined in Recommendation ITU-T G.812.
GL-SSUT
Indicates the source of the trail is a Type I or V SSU clock as
defined in Recommendation ITU-T G.812.
APS or MSP
Configured
Default:
Unpro-
tected
Range: N/A
Format: Predefined
Specifies whether two module(s) are to be set up in adjacent
odd- and even-numbered slots for APS/MSP protection
mode or not.
Unprotected
Select this value if the module is being configured as a stan-
dalone unprotected module, and
not
being paired with
another module in a 1+1 protection configuration.
Working
Select this value when the module is being paired with
another identical 1+1 APS-compatible module (single-mode
or multimode with the same operating mode (see Operating
Mode field)) in a 1+1 APS configuration. Before selecting
this value, the modules must be installed as an adjacent,
consecutively numbered, pair in the PSAX chassis. To verify
the module placement, return to the Equipment Configura-
tion window and locate the modules. The 1+1 protection
modules can only be configured when they are installed in a
consecutively numbered odd/even order, such as slots 9 and
10, 11 and 12, and so on, and not in an even/odd numbered
order, such as slots 10 and 11. In this arrangement, either
module can serve as the primary (working) module or the
standby (protection) module. After selecting this value, click
the
Apply Port Configuration
command. The [Working
Slot] and [Protection Slot] fields appear with the appropriate
slot numbers listed, the status of the modules, and the APS
Configuration window is available through the
Configure
APS
command.
