Configuring J2 Trace
Perform the following procedure to configure the J2 Trace on the Channel-
ized STM-1SM Port Configuration window.
Begin

From the Channelized STM-1SM Port Configuration Window (see
Figure 4-8), set the J2 Trace field to
Enabled
(see Table 4-21).
Note:
From the Channelized STM-1SM Port Configuration window,
verify that the J2 Trace field is set to
Enabled
.

After applying the
Port Configuration
command in the STM-1SM Port
Configuration window (see Figure 4-8), select the
Configure AU-3 Vir-
tual Port 1
.
The Channelized STM-1SM AU-3 Port Configuration window is dis-
played in Figure 4-20. Table 4-6 describes the commands on the window.
Table 4-7 describes the fields on the window.

Indicates the message that is expected to be
received from the near-end switch of the same
port.

Indicates whether the near-end message received
matches with the near-end expected message
which is configured for the same port. If the mes-
sage matches then it displays as match, if it does
not match then it displays as mismatch.
Mismatch
Indicates the near-end message received mis-
matches with the near-end expected message.
Match
Indicates the near-end message received matches
with the near-end expected message.
