10.3.1 Documentation

Documentation of the machine and of safety functions

Machine description (with overview)

Specification of the used safety components (such as drive, stator, slider)

Function table:

Active monitoring functions depending on the operating mode and the protective door.

Other sensors with protective functions

The table is part or is the result of the configuring work.

Used safety functions for each drive.

Information about safety equipment

Drive configurations (safety and non-safety)

HW configurations (e.g. ID switches, safe address switches)

10.3.2 Functional and diagnostic safety tests

Detailed function test and evaluation of safety functions used. For some functions, trace recordings of individual

parameters can be used. If a listed function is not used, no test has to be performed.

Encoder parameterization test

Check the configuration of the encoder (such as Type, pole pitch, …)

Test the safety function "Safe Torque Off" (STO)

Test of the SI function "Safe Stop 1" (SS1)

Test of the SI function "Safe Brake Control" (SBC)

Test of the SI function "Safe Stop 2" (SS2)

Test of the SI function "Safe Operating Stop" (SOS)

Test of the SI function "Safely-Limited Speed" (SLS)

Test all used instances.
