Explanation
Code table
Here, the codes which are to be decoded are set.
As of software version V51.03 of BCL 40, the codes depicted above
are enabled by default. We recommend enabling only the code types
which are to actually be read with the corresponding element numbers.
Notice:
Code1 must always be selected. If multiple code types are to be used,
set in sequential order: Code1, Code2…
Element number
In the field Element number, up to 3 element entries may be entered.
An area is represented by a dashed line: e.g. 4-40 digits.
With 2 or 3 different element entries by a comma: e.g: 8,13 digits
Both are possible as well: e.g.: 4-10,20 digits
Notice:
If the code EAN128 is to be read, 3 additional digits are to be set for
the code identifier.
Properties
Behind the "Properties" button, to the right of the respective code, the
code-specific settings, such as the check digit, can be selected.
Number of bar
codes
Here, the number of the bar codes to be decoded within a read cycle
(one reading gate) is set.
