Step 1. Insert the filler in the hot-swap drive in the drive bay and press it in place.
Install fillers in all empty drive bays. You can use either a four-bay filler or single-bay fillers in any vacant
bays.
I/O tray replacement
The I/O tray is accessed from the rear of the server. The I/O tray is the server component that stores server
identity information. This information must be transferred to the new I/O tray during maintenance
replacement.
Remove the I/O tray
The I/O tray is accessed from the rear of the server. Open the release levers to extract the I/O tray. If you are
removing the I/O tray as part of a maintenance replacement, you must transfer system identification
information to the new I/O tray.

CAUTION:
The power-control button on the device and the power switch on the power supply do not turn off the
electrical current supplied to the device. The device also might have more than one power cord. To
remove all electrical current from the device, ensure that all power cords are disconnected from the
power source.
