DSP Parameters

10.3.1

Input

Input parameters are available for every source. The exact parameters vary depending on whether the source
is mono, stereo or surround and its input type: mic, line-level or digital.

Mono Sources

For microphone sources, the available parameters are:

·

Mic

- analog mic preamp gain from +18dB (or -2dB with PAD) to +73dB. See also

·

48V

- 48V phantom power.

·

Phase

- phase reverse.

·

Pad

- a 20dB PAD (gain reduction); the mic gain value updates accordingly.

·

Rumble

- a high pass ‘rumble’ filter to roll-off subsonic frequencies before the A-D converter (the

rumble filter operates at 80Hz).

·

Gain

- digital gain from -30dB to +18dB.

·

Pan

- left/center/right panning applied to stereo or surround summing bus assignments.

For a line-level or digital source, there is no mic preamp and so the available parameters are:

·

Phase

- phase reverse.

·

Gain

- digital gain from -30dB to +18dB.

·

Pan

- left/center/right panning applied to stereo or surround summing bus assignments.

You can use the fader strip rotary control to adjust other pan parameters such as front/rear pan, LFE level,
etc.

Stereo Sources

For stereo sources, the available parameters are:

·

Phase

- phase reverse for the left input.

·

Stereo

- turn the rotary control to select the input mode:

o

Stereo

= normal left/right operation

o

ms-> xy

= ms decoding for a middle & side signal.

·

l->b

- routes the left input to both sides of the stereo channel.

·

r->b

- routes the right input to both sides of the stereo channel.

·

mono

- sums the left and right inputs and applies a -3dB gain offset.

·

side

- reverses the left and right inputs.

·

Gain

- digital gain from -30dB to +18dB.

·

Basis

- left/right width.

·

Bal

- left/right input balance.
