16. Connecting a VisTool MK2 PC

Fader Strip ACCESS Keys

By adding fader strip ACCESS keys to the VisTool GUI, the end-user will be able to change the source in
access. The configuration requires two stages: first use the ON-AIR Designer to prepare the system
configuration, and then use VisTool Editor to edit the VisTool project.

ON-Air Designer Configuration

1.

Name the relevant Access key(s) in the "

" branch of the 'Tree Definition'.

You will need to name the

Access

key for each of the 4 fader strips on each Fader Module, and the

LayerSelect

key if you wish to access sources on Layer 2.

VisTool Editor Configuration

1.

Add some Box elements to a page.

2.

Right-click on the element and select the

MF Key

->

Fader Module

branch to assign the named keys.
