System Overview

Model CRX-6.5K Probe Station

2.2.1 Probe Station

The probe station provides the temperature measurement environment for the
sample or device under test (DUT). It also provides the electrical and optical interface
with the sample. Major components of the probe station include the vacuum
chamber, sample cooling assembly, baseplate and outer stand, probe arm assemblies,
two-stage closed cycle refrigerator (CCR), CCR stand, and ballast weights. FIGURE 2-2
illustrates the probe station components.
