Shelf Pin Configure and Jamb Stop Section
When mounting a 4 inch hinge to the jamb and door in the machine, shelf pins are inserted into
the jamb shelf to raise the height of the jamb to compensate for backset. Shelf Pin length is calcu-
lated by the values of the hinge length and backset

The pin length is displayed in
Suggested for Mounting Box
2.
Enter the pin length value into the
Shelf Pin Box
3.
Insert the correct pin lengths in the jamb shelfs (2 per H-block)
4.
Process the door
Note:
Make sure pins are removed or changed if processing a
door/jamb with a a different backset.
Note:
Shelf Pin calculations will revert to zero if machine is powered down.
Note:
Different size pins can be ordered through KVAL Sales and Service.
Precut Pins
Insert pins:
2 Pins are
inserted into
the Jamb
Shelf located
on back of the
H-Blocks.
Jamb Stop
Left Hand Doors only:
Move the Stop to the displayed value on the
screen.
