8.7 ATEX-Encoder, solid shaft with flat, flange type 1+3 (see data sheet 70x3SIL)

The fixing of the solid shaft encoder is carried out using the threaded holes provided in the flange
and at least three M4 screws; these are to be tightened with a recommended torque of 2,5Nm and
secured against loosening. The connection of the shaft to the drive must be effected using a toleran-
ce compensating element and secured against loosening.
When connecting the solid shaft, the operator, operating company or installation company, which is
installing the encoder, must ensure that the fixing method complies with the safety requirements in
force.
