8.6.2 Cleaning the check valve
The check valves are not disassembled for cleaning but they are cleaned
as a unit.
Procedure
Process
1.
Place each check valve into a beaker with solvent, e.g. isopropanol.
2.
Put the beaker with the check valve in an ultrasonic bath for at least
10 minutes.
3.
Dry from the inside with compressed air, if possible.
Insert both cleaned check valves.
8.6.3 Installing the check valve
When tightening inlet and outlet fittings, pay attention to the torques
described in chapter Installation.
The pump head has been flushed.
The capillaries have been removed.
The pump head has been dismounted.
Open-end wrench (torque), sizes 10 & 17
Note:
PEEK fittings can withstand pressures up to 400 bar for 1/16“ and
200 bar for 1/8“.
Note:
The ball and position of the valves have been harmonized to each
other. Insert the valves in the direction of flow.

Insert the check valves

that the notch of the check
valve

points downward.
2.
Manually screw in inlet and
out let fittings and tighten
them with a torque wrench
and the respective torque.

Re-install the pump head.

Observe the torque of the screw connection
Use 5 Nm torque for stainless steel fi ttings.
Use 1 Nm torque for PEEK fi ttings.
