To remove the capillary, loos-
en the capillary screw fittings

at the pump head outlet
and pressure sensor inlet.
2.
Disconnect the tubing of the
piston backflushing from the
inlet and outlet of the flush
pump and from the pump
head.
3.
Remove the eluent lines

from the eluent inlets.
4.
Using an Allen key, loosen the
opposite pairs of fastening
screws

at the pump head
evenly and alternately to pre-
vent the pump pistons on the
inside from jamming.
5.
Hold the pump head by hand,
and consecutively pull out all
fastening screws.
6.
Lift off the pump head.

Maintain the check valves (see next section) or install a new pump head.

Tweezers may be necessary for removal
Process
1.
Using an Allen key, tighten the opposite pairs of fastening screws
evenly and alternately to prevent the pump pistons on the inside
from jamming.
2.
Tighten all fastening screws evenly.
3.
Screw tight the capillary screw fittings on the pump head and
pressure sensor.
4.
Screw the eluent lines into the eluent inlets.
5.
Fasten the tubing of the piston backflushing at the inlet and out-
let of the flush pump and the pump head.

fi ttings after maintenance or installation tasks.
