2 Measuring and configuration

2.1 Control unit service program

Send user.dat

This function is used to send the user.dat file

Note

This file is always sent in the format user.dat by the KEY Laser. If another file is in

the format user.dat on the notebook/PC, it is overwritten.

A folder with the serial number and the date for the desired user.dat file must be

created beforehand.

Only send the file user.dat in the format user.dat back to the KEY Laser (see soft‐

ware download).

▶ Connect the service notebook to the KEY Laser, and start the communication

software (see sections D1 and D1.1).

▶ Select the desired target folder in the communication software.

▶ Confirm the "Send user.dat" command with okay.

Press the No key to prematurely return to the selection menu Static data setup.

Confirm "This copies user.dat to terminal-PC" with YES. The file is copied to the

selected target folder in the service notebook, and the selection menu Static data

setup appears.

Reload EEP – file to display

This function is used to send the k3_sde.eep file to the touch screen display

▶ Choose OK to confirm the Reload EEP-file to display command

The k3_sde.eep file is sent to the touch screen display

This brings up the Static data setup menu.
