4 Operation | 4.15 Using the SL600 surgical motor (optional accessory)

Route the coolant hose

from the unit along the motor cable (clips) and

connect it to the straight or contra-angle handpiece

hose

into the holding ring

for this purpose.

Removing the straight or contra-angle handpiece

NOTICE

Damage from changing the handpiece and angle piece during opera-
tion.

Wear to the catch on the straight and contra-angle handpiece and motor.
Unbalanced motor axis.

Change the handpiece and angle piece only when the motor not running.

▶

Pull the coolant hose off the straight or contra-angle handpiece.

▶

Twist the straight or contra-angle handpiece slightly to pull it off.

4.15.6 Start-up the motor

CAUTION

Incorrect input values.

Injury hazard.

The input values must be checked before each use.

▶

Press the foot pedal and change the speed by moving it the side.
Left stop: Minimum speed
Right stop: Maximum speed

4.15.7 Using the surgical motor with programme steps

Note

The user should always check if the displayed transfer ratio is correct before
turning on the device.

Note

The torque values can deviate by max. ± 10 % with the KaVo contra-angle
handpieces SURGmatic S201. Larger deviations are possible with other con-
tra-angle handpieces.
