The following constitute a fail result:
- If the Battery Voltage drops to less than the Inverter Low Battery Voltage Threshold
(default 11.0 V) (
UPS – Inverter Low Battery Voltage
fault threshold), the test
fails and ends.
- If the test takes longer than 75 seconds, the test fails and ends.
- If the UPS shuts down (OptiView loses power) due to voltage, fuses, disconnect, or any
other reason, the test fails and the OptiView displays a fault on next power up stating
that the battery health test has failed. This fault can be cleared by running a successful
battery health test.
If the
UPS – Inverter Low Battery Voltage
fault is not set by the end of the 60 second
test (Battery Voltage stays above the threshold), the battery evaluation is considered good.
7. The control ceases MBC levitation. If this step takes longer than 15 seconds, the test fails and
ends.
8. The panel instructs
Reconnect 3-phase line power to the chiller now
. At that time,
reapply three-phase power to the chiller. The full test successfully ends when the OptiView
detects the control voltage has returned.
If the 10 minute power loss holdup timer runs out (OptiView power will be lost due to turning off
UPS Inverter) before the test completes and power is restored, the test is considered failed.
The message
UPS Battery Health Test Successful
is displayed for 10 seconds when the test
passes.
The message
UPS Battery Health Test Failed – Step X
, where X is the step that failed,
is displayed when the test fails. It remains while the
Warning – UPS – Battery Test Failed
warning is active. It and the warning are cleared when a Battery Health Test completes successfully.
For a fail, the following steps may be indicated as the fail point:
•
Step 5 is when the OptiView is waiting to sense line power removed. Generally the user has
taken too long and exceeded the 10 minute test time.
•
Step 6 is during the 60 second battery voltage monitoring under Levitation load. Generally
this indicates a bad battery.
•
Step 7 is after completion of the 60 second monitoring and waiting for successful automatic
de-levitation. This would indicate some unplanned failure of the control or communication.
•
Step 8 is waiting to sense line power restored. Generally the user has taken too long and
exceeded the 10 minute test time.
