Safe Exit Warning uses the rear
corner radars to help detect a vehicle
approaching the rear of your vehicle,
after the vehicle is stopped and a
passenger opens a door.
If Safe Exit Warning is activated, an
audible warning sounds and a warning
message may appear on the instrument
cluster.
The warning timing may differ depending
on the speed of the detected vehicle.

With the ignition switch ON, go to
User
Settings > Driver Assistance > Blind-
Spot Safety > Safe Exit Assist
(for
cluster type) or
Setup > Vehicle > Driver
Assistance > Blind-Spot Safety > Safe
Exit Assist
(for infotainment system type)
to turn this function on and off.
Information
When the engine is restarted, Safe Exit
Warning maintains the last setting.
Information
You can change the
Warning Volume
settings or select
Driving Safety Priority
for Safe Exit Warning from the Settings
menu. For more information, refer to
the "Driver Assistance System Settings"
section in this chapter.
