Fuel level sensor shield
If the fuel level sensor is not protected by the body installed in the vehicle, it will be
necessary to protect it from knocks or falling objects with a shield. HMC install a
protective cover on some of their vehicles from the factory. This protection must
not be removed or altered without the consent of HMC.

Installation of an additional fuel-driven heater
Depending on the situation, some vehicles could require the installation of a fuel-
driven heater, in order to reach the correct temperature in the vehicle interior. In
this case, certain guidelines must be followed:
- A type of heater without any sharp edges should be chosen.
- The fuel tank must be protected against any impact of the heater in the event
of an accident. It should be protected with a protective cover.
- The fuel tube must be properly fitted and follow a safety line, where accidents
cannot occur.
- Attention must be paid to ensuring that exhaust fumes will not affect the vehi
-
cle interior.
