5.4.1
General considerations
HMC provides a wide range of basic vehicles with different features to suit the dif
-
ferent variants of bodies that are most common in the market. So, HMC tries to
achieve the best assembly between body and chassis, with optimum strength, com
-
fort, manoeuverability and cargo handling characteristics.
When planning the assembly between chassis and body the following points should
be considered:
- Choose a chassis frame that harmonises as well as possible with the planned
body.
- Check the correct distribution of masses and loads to ensure stability during
vehicle operation.
- Choose the right frame size for the chassis and subframe to withstand the
stresses to which the vehicle will be subjected in conditions such as loading and
unloading, driving on rough roads, etc.
NOTICE
In this type of construction, attention should be paid to the minimum rear wheel
arches and the areas which should be free above the chassis frame.
