Managing Your Storage

Deleting a Volume Group
Before you delete a volume group, you must first delete any file volumes or
snapshots associated with the volume group.
Note:
If you have a high-availability NAS solution, before you delete the volume
group, you must first stop and delete the failover package that contains the volume
group.
To delete a volume group:
1. In Command View NAS, click the Storage tab. Use either the Table or Tree
view for this action.
2. Under Volume Groups, select the volume group you want to delete by
clicking the row.
3. Select Actions > Delete Selected Volume Group.
a.
If the Volume Group contains data, an error dialog box appears,
explaining what action must be taken before you can delete the volume
group. Click OK to exit the dialog box.
b.
If the volume group is empty, the Confirm Volume Group Delete dialog
box appears. Click OK to delete the volume group and exit the dialog
box.
