WARNING

Leaking hydraulic fluid can cause serious injuries! Danger of injury by
unwanted machine movements.

Ø

Connect and disconnect the hydraulic lines only when the hydraulics are
without pressure on both tractor and machine.

8.2.1 Connecting

The machine must be properly connected to a tractor before any machine move-
ments.

DANGER

Serious accidents from loss of stability!

Ø

Do not move the machine without a brake line connected.

Ø

Applies to pneumatic brakes:
When connecting always connect the 

yellow

 connection (brake line) first.

NOTE

Ø

Check all plug-and-socket connections (hydraulic, electric and pneumatic) for
cleanliness and firm seating. 
Dirty connectors will contaminate the flowing media. The connectors there-
fore become worn and this results in malfunctions and failures in the connec-
ted assembly groups.

1. Clean the towing facilities of machine and tractor and check for wear. Observe

the wear limits of the towing gear in the 

Maintenance overview

 section.

Worn towing gear must be replaced.

2. Secure the machine with parking brake and/or wheel chocks against rolling

away.

3. Move the tractor to the machine and set the parking brake.

4. Lock the lock valve on the hydraulic cylinder of the drawbar.

5. Switch off the traction intensifier with the lock valve (see 

Traction intensifier

section).

6. Couple the machine.

Machines with drawbar eye:

• Connect hydraulic lines of the hydraulic cylinder to the drawbar.

• Open the lock valve on the hydraulic cylinder of the drawbar.

• Adjust the height of the drawbar to allow the machine to engage.

• Engage the machine.

• Insert the bolts and secure them.
