8.2 Preparing the solution
DANGER
Danger caused by accidental con-
tact with crop protection products
and / or solution!
When preparing solution there is the highest
risk of coming into contact with crop protection
product.
Strictly wear protective gloves and appropri-
ate protective clothes!
¾
Generally flush the crop protection agents
through the induction hopper into the solu-
tion tank.
¾
Swing the
induction hopper to filling position,
before crop protection agent is filled into the
induction hopper.
¾
Follow the safety regulations when handling
crop protection agents and when preparing
the solution: Read the instructions for use for
the crop protection agent.
¾
Do not prepare the solution in the vicinity of
wells or surface waters.
¾
Avoid leakages and contamination with crop
protection products and / or solution by act-
ing appropriately and by wearing appropriate
body protection.
¾
Do not leave the prepared solution, unused
crop protection products as well as contami-
nated crop protection, product canisters and
the uncleaned crop protection sprayer unat-
tended, to avoid dangers for third parties.
¾
Protect contaminated crop protection product
canisters and contaminated crop protection
sprayer against precipitation.
¾
Ensure sufficient cleanliness during and after
solution preparation to keep the risks as low
as possible (e.g. thoroughly wash off and
dispose of used gloves. Dispose of washing
water and cleaning fluid in a proper manner).
Besides the generally valid information
listed hereunder, you should also follow
the product specific procedures de-
scribed in the instructions for use of the
crop protection products.
¾
Pay attention to the prescribed water and
preparation application quantities as per
instructions for use for the crop protection
agent.
¾
Follow the instructions for use for the prepara-
tion and the specified precautions!
¾
Carefully determine the required filling or refill
-
ing quantities to avoid residual quantities at
the end of spraying, because an environmen-
tally friendly disposal of residual quantities is
very difficult.
Use the "Filling table for residual areas" to
calculate the required refilling quantity for the
last solution container filling. In this case sub
-
tract the technical, undiluted residual quantity
in the spray boom from the calculated refilling
quantity!
→ See chapter 8.2.2 "Filling table for residual
areas"
¾
Thoroughly rinse out empty preparation con-
tainers (e.g. with canister flushing agent) and
mix in the flushing water of the solution!
