SVP overview

The Service Processor (SVP) provides out

‑

of

‑

band configuration and management of the

storage system, and collects performance data for key components to enable diagnostic

testing and analysis.
The SVP is available as a physical (bare-metal) 1U management server or as a 64-bit

software application provided by Hitachi Vantara. The physical SVP server and the SVP

software applications are supported in the environments shown in the following table.
For the latest interoperability updates and details, see the SVP (Service Processor) OS and

Hypervisor support for Gx00, Fx00 report at
