Unpack the CXP cable.

Insert the cable connector into the CXP port. Make sure the cable connector is correctly oriented.
If the card where the CXP port resides is vertically oriented, make sure the pull latch is on the left
of the connector when inserting the connector into the CXP port.
Connecting an SFP+/QSFP+/QSFP+ to SFP+ copper cable
CAUTION:
When you connect an SFP+, a QSFP+, or a QSFP+ to SFP+ copper cable, make sure the bend radius
of the cable is a minimum of eight times the cable diameter.
An SFP+, a QSFP+, or a QSFP+ to SFP+ copper cable is hot swappable.
To connect fiber ports over a short distance, use copper cables as follows:
•
Use an SFP+ copper cable to connect SFP+ ports.
•
Use a QSFP+ copper cable to connect QSFP+ ports.
•
Use a QSFP+ to SFP+ copper cable to connect a QSFP+ port to four SFP+ ports.
To connect an SFP+, a QSFP+, or a QSFP+ to SFP+ copper cable:

Wear an ESD wrist strap, and make sure it makes good skin contact and is reliably grounded. For

3.
Plug the cable connector into the port. Make sure the cable connector is correctly oriented.
