Processing Channel Selection and Video In and Video Out
The XIP - 3901 - JPEG-XS has either four or eight Channel tabs, depending on the card’s
Operation Mode setting. Select a channel to configure it.

channel.
Click a Channel tab to access the configuration of any one of the XIP - 3901 - JPEG-XS’s
independent processing channels.
• 2 UHD/HD DEC & 2 UHD/HD ENC: The configuration of the Channel 2 tab is the same
as the Channel 1 tab. The configuration of the Channel 4 tab is the same as the
Channel 3
tab.
• 8 HD ENC and 8 HD DEC: The configuration of the Channel 2 to Channel 8 tabs are
the same as the
Channel 1
tab.
Once a channel has been selected, it will not change when navigating to other
configuration panels.
Hover your mouse over any channel for a hint appear to show if a channel is configured as
an Encoder or Decoder.
Channel names can be customized with the Friendly Names parameters; see Info Panel ,
on page 273.
Video In
Video Out Shows the current input and output video formats for this channel.
Video In has a status indicator for the video input:
Green:
Video input valid and supported
Red: Video in error or video format not supported
Grey: video receiver disabled
Hover your mouse over the Video In status indicator for a hint appear to see more details.
