E.A.C. Filter Status & Alarm
Three LED indicator lights on the Control Panel display the operational status of the Electronic Air Cleaner (E.A.C.)
Filter system.
[ON]
This light turns
ON
to indicate that the E.A.C. Filter Cell is installed and powered. This is the
only
indicator
light illuminated when the system is operating properly.
[WASH/CHECK]
These two lights turn
ON
together to indicate problems with the E.A.C. Filter system. Potential issues
include, but are not limited to:
• Filter Cell is not installed, or is mis-aligned.
• Collection plates (fins) are excessively dirty.
• Poor contact between the Cell and Hood contacts.
• Broken and/or missing ionizer wires on front of Cell.
• Damaged Filter Cell (broken insulators, broken frame, etc.).
• Faulty E.A.C. Power Supply or high-voltage wiring.
The
[WASH/CHECK}
lights are
NOT
intented to be a signal for routine cleaning of the collection cell,
DO
NOT use as such
. Typically, the Cell must be cleaned
DAILY
to ensure optimum air cleaning performance.

When
[WASH/CHECK]
lights turn
ON
, the system has entered an alarm condition and has stopped functioning. The
Controller issues the
E.A.C. DIRTY Error (Code 24).
An alarm tone sounds,
Lower Display
shows
“Er24”
,
and the
Upper Display
reads
“ERROR ALARM - CLEAN THE EAC”
. Approximately two (2) minutes after the
[WASH/CHECK]
lights turn
ON
, power to the heating elements is turned
OFF
until the condition is corrected. Press
[ALARM]
key to
silence alarm. Place the Selector Switch in the
[OFF]
position. Check the EAC Cell and perform the following steps
to attempt to clear the alarm.

When
[WASH/CHECK]
lights turn
ON
, the system has entered an alarm condition and has stopped functioning.
Approximately two (2) minutes after the
[WASH/CHECK]
lights turn
ON
, an intermittent tone (beeping) alarm
begins sounding and shortly afterward power to the heating elements is turned
OFF
until the condition is corrected.
Place the Selector Switch and Power Switch in the
[OFF]
position to silence alarm. Check the EAC Cell and perform
the following steps to attempt to clear the alarm.
