Control Panel

Item

Description

Function

Light Switch

Controls the under-hood lighting.

Power Switch

PUSH-TO-START

Power Switch

is a 3-position switch. Press and momentarily hold

the top

[START]

portion of switch to start hood and provide power

to appliances underneath. When released, switch remains in the

[ON]

position (center). To turn hood

OFF

& shutdown power to

appliances, press the bottom of switch.

E.A.C. Filter Status

Indicators

WASH

CHECK

LED light clusters indicate the status of the Electronic Air Cleaner

(E.A.C.) on each side of the hood.

[ON] -

Turns

when hood is powered-up. Indicates that the

E.A.C. system is powered and functioning normally to clean the air.

Only light

when E.A.C. is operating properly.

[WASH] -

Indicates excessive grease build-up on collector fins

(dirty), collector cell is missing, poor contact, missing ionizer wires,

etc. Approximately 2 minutes after this light turns

, an

intermittent (beeping) alarm tone will begin sounding and power to

appliances is shutdown.

IMPORTANT! Do not rely on this indicator as a signal for routine

cleaning; cell must be cleaned daily to maintain peak performance

and extend the useful life of charcoal filters.

[CHECK] -

Indicates that collector cell has stopped operating

properly; either damaged & shorted to ground, fins are shorted due

to excessive moisture, etc. No alarm sounds & the appliances

remain powered, but air cleaning system is not functioning.

NOT continue operationing; determine cause

CHARCOAL OR BAFFLE FILTER

CLOGGED

Light

Light turns

if baffle, pre-filter or charcoal filter is excessively

dirty and restricting airflow through hood. Other obstructions, such

as blocked exhaust, may also be present. A constant (steady) alarm

tone will sound.

CHARCOAL OR BAFFLE FILTER

MISSING

Light

Light turns

if a required filter (baffle, pre-filter, charcoal) is

missing or installed improperly.

APPLIANCE POWERED

Light

Turns

to indicate that power is being supplied to appliances

under the hood. Any time light is

OFF

while the hood is powered

there is typically a filter alarm that has disabled appliance power.

HOOD POWERED

Light

Turns

indicating the hood is powered.
