Using a Float or Optical sensor for a return pump?
If you‘ll be using this leak detection feature for the purpose of shutting down
your return pump if sump water level gets too low, you MUST invert the
reaction of the sensor. On the LEVEL settings page, simply select the sensor
you’re using for this function and select YES to invert the reaction.
ASSIGNING THE FUNCTION
1.
Click on the (+) icon to the left of
System.
2.
Select SWITCH CHANNELS AND OUTLETS.
3.
Select the Powerbar outlets that you’d like to react to this Leakage detection function.
4.
Set the function to FILL WATER and select the
Control circuit
number you used when
you created the Leakage detection function.
For example, if you created the function on Control circuit 2, set the function to
FILL WATER 2. If Control circuit 3 was used, set the function to FILL WATER 3.
5.
Type-in a description in both fields, set a black-out delay if necessary, and then click OK.
6.
Repeat Step 3 as necessary.
7.
Click SAVE CHANGES.
NOTE
By default, the assigned sockets will stay ON with this function. When a
sensor detects a leak or a sensor is triggered, the assigned socket will turn
OFF until the alarm is reset or problem is solved.
For those using a float or optical sensor for their return pumps, since the
sensor reaction is inverted, the socket will stay ON when the sensor is in the
water. The socket will turn OFF when it is no longer in the water.
