UTILITY
The Utility section
The UTILITY SECTION is entirely dedicated to
the Styles.
SINGLE TOUCH PLAY
The SINGLE TOUCH PLAY button assigns re-
call the all the parameters associated to the ROM
Styles, including the sounds assigned to the key-
board sections. When off, selecting ROM Styles
recalls only the Style accompaniment sections
without changing the keyboard sounds.
If you select Performances from the PERFORM-
ANCE GROUPS, the SINGLE TOUCH PLAY but-
ton deactivates automatically.
TEMPO LOCK
TEMPO LOCK allows you to lock the Style Tempo
in order to recall Styles without changing the
Tempo.
When TEMPO LOCK is off, selecting Styles from
the Style Groups or Performances recalls the pre-
set Tempo data memorised in the Style or Per-
formance.
HARMONY ON/OFF
Enables or disables the current Harmony Type
selected in the Harmony Type options. Harmony
can orchestrate your playing, making simple one-
note melodies sound as if they are being played
by a full orchestra.
The structure of the automatic harmony is based
on the current Harmony Type setting and oper-
ates in two different ways with the keyboard set
to Split Mode:
•
TYPE A: according to the note (or chord)
played below the Split Point with Arrange
On/Off selected.
•
TYPE B: regardless of the note played or not
played below the Split Point.
HARMONY TYPE
HARMONY TYPE gains access to the 8 Harmony
options.
TYPE A:
Close: The notes played on the left hand are
added to the melody note exactly as played. The
harmonising chord is a closed (or tight) position
(notes fall within the same octave).
Open 1: same as close but with an open chord
(notes spread over 2 octaves).
Open 2: similar to Open 1 but with the notes
played on the left hand randomly assigned to the
right .
Block: transforms the melody note into a full four
or five note chord, each note in perfect harmony.
TYPE B:
Octave 1: doubles the note of the right hand by
TEMPO
