The group of buttons under the Tempo/Data Dial
is dedicated to the control of the Styles and to
the selection of the Variation, Intro, Fills and End-
ing.
START/STOP
Starts or stops the Style arrangements. Also
starts a Song/Style or Song. In record mode,
this button starts the recording process (record-
ing User Styles, Song/Styles and Songs).
The four leds above the Key Start button flash in
time with the Tempo to provide a visual metro-
nome when the sequencer is in motion (Styles or
Songs).
Before pressing START/STOP you can preset
one of either INTRO, ENDING or FILL

play as an Introduction.
KEY START
Synchronises the start of the automatic accom-
paniments with a note pressed on the keyboard
without having to use START/STOP. When KEY
START is selected, the first led on the left of the
four leds turns on to indicate the activation of the
function.
KEY START can be deactivated by:
•
pressing START/STOP to start accompani-
ment.
•
pressing ENDING while the accompani-
ment is running.
•
pressing KEY START once more.
KEY START cannot be deactivated by:
•
pressing START/STOP while the accompa-
niment is running.
•
pressing INTRO, ENDING or FILL

before starting the accompaniment.
The most common use of KEY START is
explained afterwards.
INTRO
Plays an introductory sequence to the Style ar-
rangement lasting one or more measures (bars).
After pressing INTRO, press START/STOP to
start the Intro pattern.
INTRO can also play as a Fill In if inserted during
Style play.
