Edit MIDI 13•7
• MIDI
The MIDI function of the Edit Performance sec-
tion contains Performance parameters which af-
fect the WK3 tracks, as well as general param-
eters which affect the instrument as a whole.
Program the parameters of this section if you in-
tend using WK3 in MIDI setups.
If you use WK3 alone, you do not need to set the
parameters of this function.
Most of the MIDI parameters can be saved to the
Performances. Those that af
fect WK3 on a gen-
eral basis do not require storing, as they are au-
tomatically memorised in RAM.
Via MIDI, WK3 operates as a 16 part multi-timbral
unit, regardless of the current operating mode.
For example, if you are currently playing in real
time with the Performances (with combinations
of up to 3 sounds only), via MIDI all 16 tracks of
the current Performance can be piloted.
THE MIDI EDIT STRUCTURE
The structure of the MIDI Edit section shows a
slight variation compared to the Performance Edit
section of the previous chapter.
All the MIDI functions are set out on a main
