5. Driving guide

Second-level braking: Slight automatic
emergency braking is applied if your
vehicle continues to approach the vehicle
ahead after the first-level warning.
-
Third-level braking: Full braking is applied
automatically when a rear-end collision is
inevitable.
The AEB will be deactivated in the following
four cases, in which the driver should take over
the vehicle:
-
The driver depresses the accelerator
pedal.
-
The driver quickly turns the steering
wheel.
-
The vehicle speed is reduced to below
40km/h.
-
The vehicle decelerates to a standstill for
about 2s.
The AEB may not work properly in the following
cases:
-
The vehicle is traveling in an environment
with low visibility (such as heavy rain,
snow and haze).
-
The camera is subjected to direct strong
light or the light intensity changes
suddenly (such as entering and exiting a
tunnel).
-
The vehicle is passing through a curve, a
ramp or a bumpy road section.
-
The windshield in front of the camera is
dirty, damaged or covered.
-

modifications or decorations.
-
The chassis of the vehicle ahead is too
high or its cargo protrudes from the trunk.
-
The pedestrians are short in height or their
main features are obscured by holding
umbrellas, wearing raincoats, holding
ladders, wearing carnival costumes, etc.
-
There is an oncoming vehicle.
-
In the dark environment, the tail lamps
of the vehicle ahead are not lit or the
pedestrian is outside the range of the
vehicle lamps.
-
The obstacles ahead are animals or small
vehicles (such as bicycles, motorcycles
and tricycles).
-
The vehicle speed is lower than 8km/h or
higher than 80km/h.
