5. Driving guide
5.4.2 Forward collision warning
(FCW) system *
The FCW system assesses the danger level of
pre-collision by detecting the relative distance
and speed of the vehicle/pedestrian ahead in
the same path according to the IFC installed
on the windshield and the driver’s other
operations (such as depressing the brake
pedal or accelerator pedal), and timely reminds
the driver to take measures to avoid or mitigate
the collision in case of a collision risk.

Early warning in case of a collision risk, and activation by default
when the vehicle is started

When the ENGINE START/STOP button is
set to “ON” position, the FCW system will be
activated by default. When there is a risk of
front collision at the vehicle speed greater than
30 km/h, the instrument cluster will pop up a
visual prompt, accompanied by audible alarm.
To activate/deactivate it manually, please
operate as follows:
- Click the “System Settings → Driving
Assistance → Longitudinal Driving
Assistance” in the AV system to activate/
deactivate the FCW system.

Cancel Confirm
- When the FCW system is deactivated, a
confirmation window will pop up on the AV
system display. In this case, click “OK” or
“Cancel” to confirm the operation.
NOTE
The deactivated FCW system will no longer
give alarm in face of any target vehicle or
pedestrian.
