5. Driving guide

CAUTION

If the gearshift lever is seized and cannot

be set out of “P” position normally, it can

be released by this method. If this fault

occurs, there may be some problems with

the vehicle. Please contact the GAC Motor

authorized shop for inspection.

Vehicle models with a manual transmission

Vehicle models with a manual transmission

have the following positions: “R, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

and 6”.
-

During gear shifting, depress the clutch

pedal to the floor and set the gearshift

lever to “1, 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6” position.

Set to R position

When the vehicle is stationary, depress

the clutch pedal to the floor and press

the gearshift lever down to set it to “R”

position.

NOTE

● When the gearshift lever is set to “R”,

make sure that the vehicle is stationary

and the engine speed is not high,

otherwise the transmission may be

damaged.

● Set the gearshift lever gently rather than

forcibly.

● Do not start the engine with high gears.
● Do not put your hand on the gearshift

lever while the vehicle is running, for

fear of early wear of the shift fork.
