LESSON 4: ELECTRICAL

Instrument Cluster Self-Diagnostic Mode

Diagnostics can be entered using a diagnostic scan tool or through the on-demand self-diagnostic mode. To enter

the instrument cluster self-diagnostic mode:

Turn the engine off.

Simultaneously depress and hold the message center RESET and SETUP buttons.

Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position and hold until the display indicates TEST. This takes from three

to five seconds.

Depress the reset button once to advance to each stage of the self-test.

Record DTCs.

Exit the instrument cluster self-test mode by turning the ignition switch to the OFF position.

pages.
