Set the date and time of the clock beforehand by “Set time” for i-

You can receive mail and Messages R/F while i-

ppli is launching or 

running. i-

ppli will continue and the icon “

displayed. To check mail or messages you have received, close i-

ppli 

or use the Multitask function.

When software is running, melodies will be played at the volume set for 
“Phone” of “Ring volume”. However, melodies are not played during a 
call.

You may need to set the communications setting while the software is 
running.

When communicating frequency is extremely high in a certain period of 
time while running i-

α

ppli, a confirmation display appears asking 

whether to continue communicating. Select “YES” to continue 
communicating. When you select “NO”, communicating ends but i-

α

ppli 

continues running. Select “End” to close i-

α

ppli. When you select “NO”

and try to re-start communicating, the confirmation display appears 
whether to start communicating. Select “YES” or “End”.

p

If a call comes in while i-

α

ppli is running, i-

α

ppli will be interrupted 

temporarily. The i-

α

ppli display returns when you end the call.

With some software programs you can use the Web To function and 
the Phone To/AV Phone To function from i-

α

ppli. However, you cannot 

use the Web To function from the i-

α

ppli Stand-by display.

p

If i-motion movie (image and sound data) is played back while i-

α

ppli is 

running, see page 295 for operation instructions. The i-

α

ppli display 

returns when you cancel playback.

If the camera is launched from i-

α

ppli, the shot images are not saved 

with ordinary images, but are saved as part of i-

α

ppli for its usage.

If you launch a camera from i-

α

ppli, you can specify the image size or 

image quality for some i-

α

ppli programs.

p

You can scan QR codes and JAN codes from i-

α

ppli using the camera. 

The scanned data is saved and used by the software.

When there is no Trace Information, “Trace info” is not displayed.

When the memory space for the Trace information becomes full, the 
information is overwritten from the oldest one.

ppli when you finish it. However, the information might not be 

saved if the battery alarm sounds or the battery pack is removed while

ppli is running. If the battery level indicates “

ppli in accordance with the instructions from each software.

You can save some software programs on the miniSD memory card. 
You can check “

i

α

ppli (miniSD)” for whether a software program is 

available to the miniSD memory card.

Data saved to the miniSD memory card might not be available on other 
models.

Some IPs (Information Providers) may access the software stored in 
your mobile phone and have directly that software suspended, 
depending on the software. In that case, you will not be able to launch 
or update the software, or use it for the Stand-by display. You can 
delete the software or to display the software information. To resume 
running the software, you need to receive the communication to cancel 
the software suspension. Contact the IP (Information Provider) to 
inquire about that.

p

Some IPs (Information Providers) might send data to the software 
stored in your mobile phone depending on the software.

p

When the IP (Information Provider) requests to halt or re-open the 
software or sends data to the software, the mobile phone 
communicates and “
