CAUTION:
Ensure the aluminum cap is installed with the
plastic stem seated completely into the cap and the metal
washer is installed with the aluminum cap.
Step 6:
Secure the aluminum cap with a screwdriver.
Step 7:
In the center of the burner pan where the pilot is
located (See Fig. 6), remove the pilot head.
Note
: Some
media may need to be removed to gain access.

Show pilot assembly under the pilot hood.
Step 8:
Lift/pull the pilot head straight up and out of the
pilot assembly. If pilot head does not move, then pull the
wire clip, under the head, with a small screwdriver or
needle-nose pliers, then lift the head off. See Fig. 9.
